ABIDJAN, Sep. 5, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Sudan by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Ivorians top of Group 3 with 9 points. Sudan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Ivory Coast will meet Benin on October 10, while Sudan will face Cameroon.
