YAOUNDé, Jun. 19, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Libya by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Cameroonians top of Group 3 with 17 points. Libya is fourth with 11 points. In their next game, Cameroon will meet second-placed Ivory Coast on September 4, while Libya will face Sudan.
