OMDURMAN, Aug. 17, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Sudan defeated Benin by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday night.
The result put the Sudanese 5th in Group 3 with 5 points. Benin is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Sudan will meet Libya on September 2, while Benin will face Egypt.
