ABIDJAN, Sep. 4, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Ivory Coast by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Cameroonians top of Group 3 with 20 points. Ivory Coast is second with 19 points. In their last game, Cameroon will meet third-placed Egypt on October 8, while Ivory Coast will face Sudan.
