KIGALI, Jul. 3, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Zimbabwe defeated Rwanda by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Zimbabweans second in Group 4 with 5 points. Rwanda is fourth with 3 points. In their next game, Zimbabwe will meet group leaders Nigeria on September 5, while Rwanda will face Angola.
