LUANDA, Jun. 5, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Angola defeated Algeria by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Angolans top of Group 4 with 14 points. Algeria is 5th with 6 points. In their next game, Angola will meet second-placed Nigeria on June 18, while Algeria will face Zimbabwe.
