GABORONE, Jun. 19, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Botswana defeated Malawi by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Batswana second in Group 5 with 3 points. Malawi is fourth with one point. In their next game, Botswana will meet third-placed Morocco on July 3, while Malawi will face Guinea.
