GABORONE, Jun. 16, 2007 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Botswana defeated Mauritania by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Batswana second in Group 2 with 7 points. Mauritania is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Botswana will meet group leaders Egypt on October 13, while Mauritania will face Burundi.
