ABUJA, Sep. 2, 2006 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Nigeria defeated Niger by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Nigerians second in Group 3 with 3 points. In their next game, Nigeria will meet Lesotho on October 8, while Niger will face Uganda.
