MASERU, Oct. 8, 2006 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Nigeria defeated Lesotho by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Nigerians top of Group 3 with 6 points. Lesotho is bottom with no points. In their next game, Nigeria will meet second-placed Uganda on March 24, while Lesotho will face Niger.
