MALABO, Sep. 3, 2006 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Equatorial Guinea defeated Liberia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Equatorial Guineans second in Group 5 with 3 points. In their next game, Equatorial Guinea will meet group leaders Cameroon on October 7, while Liberia will face Rwanda.
