COTONOU, Oct. 8, 2006 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Benin defeated Sierra Leone by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Beninese second in Group 9 with 3 points. Sierra Leone is bottom with one point. In their next game, Benin will meet group leaders Mali on March 25, while Sierra Leone will face Togo.
