BAMAKO, Oct. 8, 2006 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Togo by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Malians top of Group 9 with 4 points. Togo is third with 3 points. In their next game, Mali will meet second-placed Benin on March 25, while Togo will face Sierra Leone.
