PAYNESVILLE, Jun. 5, 2011 (AMP) — Gabon Equatorial Guinea 2012 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Cape Verde by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Cape Verdeans top of Group A with 7 points. Liberia is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Cape Verde will meet second-placed Mali on September 3, while Liberia will face Zimbabwe.
