BAMAKO, Sep. 3, 2011 (AMP) — Gabon Equatorial Guinea 2012 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Cape Verde by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.
The result put the Malians top of Group A with 9 points. Cape Verde is second with 7 points. In their last game, Mali will meet Liberia on October 8, while Cape Verde will face Zimbabwe.
