BANGUI, Oct. 10, 2010 (AMP) — Gabon Equatorial Guinea 2012 (Qualifiers) : The Central African Republic defeated Algeria by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Central Africans top of Group D with 4 points. Algeria is bottom with one point. In their next game, the Central African Republic will meet third-placed Tanzania on March 26, while Algeria will face Morocco.
