NELSPRUIT, Sep. 4, 2010 (AMP) — Gabon Equatorial Guinea 2012 (Qualifiers) : South Africa defeated Niger by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.

The result put the South Africans top of Group G with 3 points. In their next game, South Africa will meet Sierra Leone on October 10, while Niger will face Egypt.
