FREETOWN, Jun. 4, 2011 (AMP) — Gabon Equatorial Guinea 2012 (Qualifiers) : Sierra Leone defeated Niger by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Nigeriens second in Group G with 6 points. Sierra Leone is third with 5 points. In their next game, Niger will meet group leaders South Africa on September 4, while Sierra Leone will face Egypt.
