BUJUMBURA, Jun. 5, 2011 (AMP) — Gabon Equatorial Guinea 2012 (Qualifiers) : Burundi defeated Rwanda by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Burundians second in Group H with 4 points. Rwanda is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Burundi will meet third-placed Benin on September 4, while Rwanda will face Ivory Coast.
