Ivory Coast beats DR Congo to reach AFCON final
BATA, Feb. 4, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Ivory Coast reached the Africa Cup of Nations final for the fourth time in their history with a 3-1 win against DR Congo (halftime: 2-1) on Wednesday night at the Estadio de Bata.
Ivory Coast dominated the first half thanks to goals from Touré ('20) and Gervinho ('41). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Ivorians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Kanon in the 68th minute.
