Ghana beats Equatorial Guinea to reach AFCON final
MALABO, Feb. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Ghana reached the Africa Cup of Nations final for the ninth time in their history with a 3-0 win against Equatorial Guinea (halftime: 2-0) on Thursday night at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo.
Ghana dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ayew ('42 on penalty) and Mubarak ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Ghanaians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ayew in the 75th minute.
