AFCON 2015 : DR Congo beats Equatorial Guinea in shoot out to claim AFCON third place
MALABO, Feb. 7, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : DR Congo secured the consolation of third place at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Equatorial Guinea 4-2 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) on Saturday afternoon at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The congoleses finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-2.
