Ivory Coast beats Ghana in shoot out to win 2015 AFCON
BATA, Feb. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Ivory Coast claimed a second Africa Cup of Nations crown after defeating Ghana 9-8 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) in the final on Sunday night at the Estadio de Bata.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The Ivorians finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 9-8.
