AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Tunisia beats Djibouti 8-1
RADES, Jun. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Tunisia defeated Djibouti by a big score of 8-1 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday night at the Rades Olympic Stadium.
Yassine Chikhaoui scored tripple goals
Tunisia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Chikhaoui ('9 on penalty, '22, '23) and Sassi ('37). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Tunisians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Khalifa '62, Ben-Youssef '68, Hannachi '80 and Touzghar '81).
The result put the Tunisians top of Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Tunisia will meet Liberia at the Rades Olympic Stadium on September 5, while Djibouti will face Togo.
