DJIBOUTI, Sep. 4, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Togo defeated Djibouti by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday afternoon at the Stade national El Hadj Hassan Gouled Aptidon in Djibouti.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Akakpo ('5) and Floyd Ayité ('43).
The result put the Togolese top of Group A with 6 points. Djibouti is bottom with no points. In their next game, Togo will meet second-placed Tunisia at the Stade national El Hadj Hassan Gouled Aptidon on March 25, while Djibouti will face Liberia.
