MONROVIA, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Tunisia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Doe in the 79th minute.
The result put the Tunisians second in Group A with 3 points. Liberia is third with 3 points. In their next game, Tunisia will meet group leaders Togo at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on March 25, while Liberia will face Djibouti.
