DJIBOUTI, Mar. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Djibouti by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday afternoon at the Stade national El Hadj Hassan Gouled Aptidon in Djibouti.
45 minutes of play and neither the Liberians nor the Djiboutians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Laffor in the 57th minute.
The result put the Liberians second in Group A with 6 points. Djibouti is bottom with no points. In their next game, Liberia will meet Djibouti at the Stade national El Hadj Hassan Gouled Aptidon on March 29, while Djibouti will face Liberia.
