MONASTIR, Mar. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Tunisia defeated Togo by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday night at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium in Monastir.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Msakni in the 46th minute.
The result put the Tunisians top of Group A with 6 points. Togo is second with 6 points. In their next game, Tunisia will meet second-placed Togo at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium on March 29, while Togo will face Tunisia.
