AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Liberia beats Djibouti 5-0
MONROVIA, Mar. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Djibouti by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
William Jebor scored tripple goals
Liberia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Laffor ('8 on penalty) and Johnson ('28). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Liberians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Jebor '46, '56, '90).
The result put the Liberians top of Group A with 9 points. Djibouti is bottom with no points. In their next game, Liberia will meet third-placed Togo at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on June 5, while Djibouti will face Tunisia.
