AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Angola defeats Central African Republic 4-0
LUBANGO, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Angola defeated the Central African Republic by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Tundavala National Stadium in Lubango.
Gelson scored dual goals
Angola dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gelson in the 35th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Angolans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Menga '55/penalty, Gelson '63 and Gilberto '89/penalty).
The result put the Angolans top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Angola will meet Madagascar at the Tundavala National Stadium on September 6, while the Central African Republic will face DR Congo.
