BANGUI, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : The Central African Republic defeated DR Congo by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Barthelemy Boganda Stadium in Bangui.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Mabidé ('24 on penalty) and Gourrier ('33).
The result put the congolese second in Group B with 3 points. The Central African Republic is third with 3 points. In their next game, DR Congo will meet group leaders Angola at the Barthelemy Boganda Stadium on March 26, while the Central African Republic will face Madagascar.
