AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : DR Congo defeats Angola 2-0
LUANDA, Mar. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : DR Congo defeated Angola by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.
DR Congo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Kimwaki in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Congoleses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bolingi with one minute left in regular time.
The result put the congolese top of Group B with 9 points. Angola is third with 4 points. In their next game, DR Congo will meet Madagascar at the Estádio 11 de Novembro on June 5, while Angola will face the Central African Republic.
