BAMAKO, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated South Sudan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night at the Stade du 26-Mars in Bamako.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Modibo Maïga ('17) and S. Coulibaly ('28).
The result put the Malians top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Mali will meet Benin at the Stade du 26-Mars on September 6, while South Sudan will face Equatorial Guinea.
