AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Benin hold Mali to 1-1
COTONOU, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Benin tied 1-1 with Mali (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Stade de l'Amitié in Cotonou.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Sessegnon ('33) for Benin, Diaby ('19) for Mali and none in the second.
The result put the Malians top of Group C with 4 points. Benin is third with 2 points. In their next game, Mali will meet Equatorial Guinea at the Stade de l'Amitié on March 25, while Benin will face South Sudan.
