OUAGADOUGOU, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso defeated Comoros by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
Comoros made the Burkinabés doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Bancé ('60) and Zongo ('70).
The result put the Burkinabé top of Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Burkina Faso will meet third-placed Botswana at the Stade du 4-Août on September 5, while Comoros will face Uganda.
