AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Botswana beats Burkina Faso 1-0
FRANCISTOWN, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Botswana defeated Burkina Faso by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Francistown Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Mogorosi in the 50th minute.
The result put the Burkinabé second in Group D with 3 points. Botswana is third with 3 points. In their next game, Burkina Faso will meet group leaders Uganda at the Francistown Stadium on March 26, while Botswana will face Comoros.
