MITSAMIOULI, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Comoros by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Said Mohamed Cheikh Stadium in Mitsamiouli.
All the action happened in the first half, with Mawejje goal in the 26th minute.
The result put the Ugandans top of Group D with 6 points. Comoros is bottom with no points. In their next game, Uganda will meet second-placed Burkina Faso at the Said Mohamed Cheikh Stadium on March 26, while Comoros will face Botswana.
