MITSAMIOULI, Mar. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Comoros defeated Botswana by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday afternoon at the Said Mohamed Cheikh Stadium in Mitsamiouli.
45 minutes of play and neither the Comorans nor the Batswanas have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Ben Nabouhane in the 59th minute.
The result left both teams at the bottom of Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Botswana will meet third-placed Comoros at the Said Mohamed Cheikh Stadium on March 27, while Comoros will face Botswana.
