AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Burkina Faso beats Uganda 1-0
OUAGADOUGOU, Mar. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso defeated Uganda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Pitroipa on penalty in the 60th minute.
The result left both teams on top of Group D with 6 points. In their next game, Uganda will meet group leaders Burkina Faso at the Stade du 4-Août on March 29, while Burkina Faso will face Uganda.
