AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Botswana beats Comoros 2-1
FRANCISTOWN, Mar. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Botswana defeated Comoros by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Francistown Stadium.
Comoros had started off well by taking the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal by M'Changama. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Batswanas nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Moyana '48 and Mogorosi '87).
The result put the Batswana third in Group D with 6 points. Comoros is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Botswana will meet group leaders Uganda at the Francistown Stadium on June 4, while Comoros will face Burkina Faso.
