OUAGADOUGOU, Sep. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso defeated Botswana by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Sunday afternoon at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
Burkina Faso dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Nakoulma in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Burkinabés further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Diawara in stoppage time.
