AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Congo-Brazzaville beats Guinea-Bissau 4-2
BISSAU, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Congo-Brazzaville defeated Guinea-Bissau by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau.
Doré served up another goal feast
Congo-Brazzaville dominated the first half thanks to goals from Doré ('28, '31). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Congoleses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Doré '61, '64).
The result put the Congolese top of Group E with 4 points. Guinea-Bissau is bottom with one point. In their next game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet third-placed Zambia at the Estádio 24 de Setembro on March 23, while Guinea-Bissau will face Kenya.
