NAIROBI, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Zambia defeated Kenya by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Kalengo ('28) and Mbesuma ('42).
The result put the Zambians second in Group E with 4 points. Kenya is third with one point. In their next game, Zambia will meet group leaders Congo-Brazzaville at the Nyayo National Stadium on March 23, while Kenya will face Guinea-Bissau.
