NAIROBI, Mar. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Guinea-Bissau defeated Kenya by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
Kenya made the Bissau-Guineans doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Cícero with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Bissau-Guineans top of Group E with 7 points. Kenya is bottom with one point. In their next game, Guinea-Bissau will meet third-placed Zambia at the Nyayo National Stadium on June 4, while Kenya will face Congo-Brazzaville.
