PRAIA, Mar. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Morocco defeated Cape Verde by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Cape Verde National Stadium in Praia.
All the action happened in the first half, with Moroccan striker El-Arabi goal on penalty in the 25th minute.
The result put the Moroccans top of Group F with 9 points. Cape Verde is second with 6 points. In their next game, Morocco will meet second-placed Cape Verde at the Cape Verde National Stadium on March 29, while Cape Verde will face Morocco.
