CAIRO, Mar. 28, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Libya defeated São Tomé and Príncipe by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night at the Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo.
Zubya scored tripple goals
São Tomé and Príncipe made the Libyans doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Zubya ('51, '56, '74) and Abdusalam ('70).
The result put the Libyans third in Group F with 3 points. São Tomé and Príncipe is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Libya will meet group leaders Morocco at the Petro Sport Stadium on June 3, while São Tomé and Príncipe will face Cape Verde.
