SãO TOMé (CITY), Jun. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Cape Verde defeated São Tomé and Príncipe by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Estádio Nacional 12 de Julho in São Tomé (city).
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Gomes ('50) and Nuno Jóia ('79).
