ALEXANDRIA, Jun. 14, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Tanzania by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
45 minutes of play and neither the Egyptians nor the Tanzanians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Rabia ('60), Morsy ('64) and Salah ('69).
The result put the Egyptians top of Group G with 3 points. In their next game, Egypt will meet Chad at the Borg El Arab Stadium on September 6, while Tanzania will face Nigeria.
