AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Egypt beats Chad 5-1
N'DJAMéNA, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Chad by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya in N'Djaména.
Morsy scored tripple goals
Egypt dominated the first half thanks to goals from Morsy ('2, '24) and Salah ('39). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Egyptians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Kahraba '55 and Morsy '61).
The result put the Egyptians top of Group G with 6 points. In their next game, Egypt will meet second-placed Nigeria at the Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya on March 25, while Chad will face Tanzania.
