AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Ghana beats Rwanda 1-0
KIGALI, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Rwanda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Ghanaian midfielder Wakaso Mubarak with just 3 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Ghanaians top of Group H with 6 points. Rwanda is second with 3 points. In their next game, Ghana will meet third-placed Mozambique at the Amahoro Stadium on March 24, while Rwanda will face Mauritius.
